I'm so jealous. that place should be made into a museum. not left to rot like that. it pains me to see how history keeps overlooking tesla as it does.
i totally agree, you stepped into history and captured what is now forgotten
he was a genius.
Woah, its Tesla himself!
Suprisingly for a 100 year old building, it's in pretty good shape. It's not really ROTTING away. That being said, over the years a lot of changes have been made to it which is unfortunate.
But yeah, for AC alone he should be practically worshipped :)
wow what a great discovery. Tesla was indeed one of the most influential inventors.
Amazing find. Most people just don't understand how much his work has influenced the modern world.
I wish I had the cash to buy that building and turn it into a loft filled with his inventions. A Tesla coil in a cage would be a great hit at parties! LOL.
It's amazing the building is even there, and it's amazing something hasn't been done with it. I was seriously suprised to actually find a plaque on it..
Every time I see a picture of Thomas Edison or something praising him, I feel compelled to say that he was such a douchebag for everything he did to drag Tesla down. Last I'd heard about Wardenclyffe was that they'd renovated it and someone had moved in to use the building for business. I don't know how old that was, but by the looks of it, it may have been let go by the Dot Com crash with the way things grow in the Northeast. I always wanted to go visit this place. I'd also heard that the local municipality was doing its best to preserve it, including a plaque, but I guess that wouldn't the truth anymore. We need to form a conservatory group, pool our resources, buy the building, and turn it into a museum like was suggested above. And rebuild the tower. Free energy for all! ...even if the tower isn't functional, it's still a part of it.
